Q1 Can I dilute liquid gold? If OK, what can be done with?
  • It is OK. Basically it is used straight, but liquid gold can be diluted by approx. 5%.
  • For luster for glass ware, it is used straight or diluted by approx. 5% same as liquid gold. However, for luster for ceramic ware, it is diluted by approx. 20-30% basecally.
  • As thinner, please use thinner oil or appropriate thinner. (Cannot be diluted with water because liquid gold or luster are oil-based paint.
Q2 What should I do if I feel bad with the smell of liquid gold.
  • Please stop using liquid gold briefly and stay in bed in fresh area.
  • Please provide adequate ventilation and avoid using in the closed room for a long time because liquid gold conteins organic solvent
Q3 What should I do if liquid gold attached to the skin?
  • Please wipe with collon saturated with a small amount of thinning oil or paper(tissue etc) and then please wash well with soap.
Q4 What should I do If liquid gold attached to the clothes?
  • Firstly please get out of your clothes liquid gold attached to. If you keep working as it is, organic solvent in liquid gold penetrates the skin and may cause inflammation.
  • Please put some water on that area not to spread liquid gold peripherally. And then please put a cut of white cloth on the reverse side of the clothes and pat the clothes dry with cloth soaked in thinning oil from its surface.
  • Please wash the clothes with detergent by your hand.
Q5 Can I mix different kinds of liquid gold with?
  • Please do not mix different kinds of liquid gold because conteining metal balance will lose.
  • Also please do not mix with defferent brand liquid gold.
  • We do not recommend to mix with different kinds of liquid gold, luster ect.. in all cases.
Q6 How much area 100g of liquid gold can decorate?
  • For undiluted liquid gold, approx.5 u can be decorated. However it is just for your reference. It depends on how to decorate.
Q7 What do I do when uneven brushwork happened by decorating liquid gold?
  • If liquid gold become hard by solvent evaporated, uneven brushwork is easy to happan. Please adjust the viscosity by adding thinning oil little by little.

Q8 How way I can keep liquid gold? Is it better to keep in the refrigerator?
  • Please keep liquid gold in an airtight container in a cooling place avoiding direct sunlight.
  • Please do not put into a refrigerator. If it puts into a refrigerator, a bottle will dew when it takes out to use, If a cap is taken, the inside of a bottle will also dew. Gold liquid for microwave oven and some luster may become hard by absorbing the humidity (moisture) in the air, so attention is necessary.
  • Please seal and stock small quantity of gold liquid remained in another container as it is without returinng to an original bottle.
Q9 Is there any expiration date for use?
  • It depends on the kind of liquid gold, but unopened liquid gold can be usually used for about three years without troubles. After opening, to get a rough idea, if liquid does not become hard or thick, it can be used without problems. However, in case of one year or more has passed after opening and when a thing like a lump carried out into small pieces is contained in liquid, please use it after testing with object for practice before hand.
  • If the liquid has become hard, please put in the thinning oil because the solvent of liquid evaporated or reacted with moisture in the air. In the case of the formaer, the liquid gold which became hard melts and it can be used. In the case of the latter, it cannot be used because liquid gold does not melt finely and will be tattered.
Q10 At what temperature and how much time liquid gold is fired?
Q11 What is degassing?
  • Liquid gold is made of a compound of gold and resin. When the resin of liquid gold burns, gass occurs. And when transfer paper is fired together, gas also occurs from transfer paper. If this gass is full in a kiln, golden film corting may become dull and adhesion failure is caused because of lack of oxygen. Therefore, please keep the door of kiln open a little (2-3cm) until generating of gass finishes.
  • Please close the door of kiln completely when the temperature in the kilm became 400-450 ℃ because the gas that an organic substance burns stops coming out if it exceeds about 400 ℃.
Q12 The golden specular surface (golden films) became tarnish.
  • The above-mentioned degassing may not have been completed well.
  • Ingredient from the material may affect. Iit is easy to happen especially for the case of the color glaze (like black and Lulli) , so please fire lower temperature (about 30-50 degrees C lower than usual).
Q13 The crack has occurred in the golden specular surface
  • It is possible to hapen when the liquid gold is decorated on the color pigment or flit. If so, please fire at lower temperature than usual (about 50-100 degree C)
  • If the material is bone china, this trouble, the crack may happen. Bone chine's glaze is soft. When bone china is fired at high temperature, it glaze became loose and moving. That is why the crack has occured.
  • Please fire at lower temperature than usual or try to use our liquid gold for bone china use to prevent this trouble.
Q14 Golden films peeled when the golden specular surgace was scratched by the finger or cloth after fired.
  • Most reason that the gold film peels off by wear-out is low firing temperature. Not only the preset temperature of the kiln (Confirm the temperature that actually hits the product) but also raise the temperature and fire again.
  • As we say before (Q11)adhesion trouble could be happened due to insufficient degassing.

The following are under construction.
